Privacy policy

The short version

SoftBump is designed to be private by default. We don't ask for your name, email address, or any personal information to use the calculators. There are no accounts and no sign-in. The only cookies we set are for advertising, and only after you accept them.

Who we are

SoftBump is a small, independent website that publishes free pregnancy calculators and week-by-week information at softbump.com. For anything in this policy, you can reach us via our contact page.

Information we do not collect

• We do not create user accounts.
• We do not ask for or store your email address.
• We do not ask for your name, address or phone number.
• We do not send the dates you enter (last period, ovulation, ultrasound, due date) to any server. All calculations run inside your browser.

Shareable links

If you use a "share" or "copy link" button, the resulting URL contains only your estimated due date (for example, ?due=2026-08-15). Anyone with the link can view the same calculated timeline. Only share links with people you trust. We do not track who opens them.

Cookies and advertising

SoftBump is funded by advertising. If you accept cookies via our banner, we display ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set cookies or similar identifiers to show and measure ads, including personalised ads where local law allows.

If you reject cookies, no advertising cookies are set and the site remains fully usable. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's storage in your browser, which will bring the banner back.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookie-less, privacy-preserving service that does not use fingerprinting or track visitors across sites. It gives us aggregate traffic counts only.

Your rights (UK GDPR)

Because SoftBump does not store personal data about you, most data-subject requests (access, correction, deletion, portability) don't apply — there is nothing to retrieve or delete on our side. If you would like to exercise your rights with Google in relation to advertising, please use the links above. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Children

SoftBump is intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
